About the event
This one hour class is designed to teach beginners and seasoned herbalists about some of the many ways to start using herbs to support your health right at home in the kitchen. We will be discovering how people have used herbs and spices for not only culinary uses but also medicinal purposes. Growing, harvesting, drying, and storing of herbs will be covered as well as different ways to extract them. This is a great chance to learn how to start supporting optimal health with what you already have at home.
These will be outdoor classes, and rain or shine events. If it is rainy, we can gather in the carport up the hill.
Parking is down the hill at 541 S. Main in Greenland, AR, just north of the blue storage buildings. We will be walking up the hill to the yard, so if you need assistance with parking reach out before the class and we can arrange one of our few up hill spots for you.
Class size is limited to 15 people.
Facilities are primitive, but there is an outdoor restroom and handwashing station.
This class will be followed by a potluck and herbal community builing jam session which is free to join from 7-9:00pm. Feel free to stay and mingle if you'd like. If you wanna play some music, we'll take turns sharing some songs, so bring an instrument!
